AI tools are commodity.
The wrap is the value.
Most professional services firms aren't short on AI. They're short on someone who'll map a real process, build the system around it, and run it in production. That's the wrap — and that's the work I do. AECFirmAI is the flagship. Tell me about yours.
Every engagement runs through the same loop.
Most "AI consultants" hand over a model and a deck. I sit inside the work, build the system around the AI, and run it in production. The loop doesn't end at delivery — that's where it starts.
Sit inside the work
I watch how the document actually moves through your firm. I find the step where time leaks, errors compound, or hand-offs break. I don't start with the AI model. I start with the process.
Assemble the system
AI where it earns its place. Deterministic code where it doesn't. Integrations to the tools your firm already uses. A clear path for the data to enter and exit.
Run it in production
The system doesn't get handed over and forgotten. It lives, it processes work, it produces audit trails, and it tells me where it's struggling.
Every run is a signal
I tune. I extend. I take new processes from the same firm into the same loop. Cost should track value, not seats — so it does.
Operational AI for civil engineering, surveying, and land development firms.
AECFirmAI is in production today. Built inside the industry, not by an outside vendor learning a vertical secondhand. Utilization-priced, not per-seat. Multi-tenant from day one.
Title Commitment Automation
Extracts every Schedule B exception, downloads recorded documents, runs OCR, evaluates applicability against parcel data. Days of work in minutes.
Legal ↔ CAD
Metes-and-bounds to CAD-ready files in under a minute, with closure math and a QC report. Runs the reverse direction too — DXF to legal description.
ALTA Survey Overlay
Pair a title commitment with a base survey DXF. Every plottable exception lands in world coordinates on uniquely-named CAD layers.
Bid Opportunity Matching
Aggregated public bids scored against your firm's services and geography. Pursue / Review / Monitor / Pass — with reasoning.
Project Email + Catch-Up
Capture project email automatically. Generate structured "what happened" summaries for any timeframe in seconds.
CAD Export & Client Delivery
Drag a DWG into a branded desktop app, click once, ship a clean signed delivery. Xrefs resolved, audit-trailed end-to-end.
Operator.
Detective.
Builder.
I spent ten years in law enforcement — patrol, training new officers, then two years as a detective in a Major Crimes Unit, plus earlier stints as a SWAT crisis negotiator and starting a county-wide LGBTQ liaison program. The work taught me how to operate inside ambiguity, coordinate across people who don't agree on the facts, and make a decision when the cost of waiting is higher than the cost of being wrong.
In my last detective year I started building custom workflows and applications inside the department because the existing systems weren't moving information fast enough. That led to a year as the City of Boulder's IT Applications Senior Administrator, and then to founding BlueGovTech — a small consulting firm modernizing municipal operations across Colorado.
In 2025 I joined a civil engineering firm as Technology Manager. I report into the executive team and own enterprise technology and operations strategy. I'm there because I wanted to operate the work, not just consult on it.
AECFirmAI grew out of that — built on my own time, on personal infrastructure, watching a real firm try to do good work while drowning in title commitments, recorded plats, and email threads.
Leverage Business Apps LLC is the company that owns my work. AECFirmAI is its flagship product. Outside of AECFirmAI, I take on selective engagements where the problem fits: operational drag, document-heavy workflows, firms that want to build something real instead of installing another tool.
Tell me about your problem.
One conversation. No pitch deck, no discovery workshop. Tell me what's broken, and I'll tell you whether it's something I can build — or whether you don't need me at all.
